WHO'S IN THE PICTURE?
- Let me tell you about this picture.
I am so proud of my friend, Little Frank Krakowski, whose band, Little Frank & the Premiers, will be opening for Johnny Winter on Friday, April 20th at Club Fever in South Bend, IN. Frank started his apprenticeship when he was in his teens, sitting-in with many of the Chicago blues greats in south and west side clubs, and has gone on to be a very respected blues guitarist. In their later years, Frank was the guitarist of choice for Hubert Sumlin, Pinetop Perkins, and Willie "Big Eyes" Smith, further adding to his impressive blues resume. Frank's long-time dedication to the blues, and to surrounding himself with the finest accompanists, continues to pay dividends, witnessed by the demand for his band's talents. I took the photo of Frank and vocalist and harmonica great Tom Moore at Zimmy's Tavern in southcentral lower Michigan a few years back. Again, I am so proud of Frank's choice to open for Johnny Winter.
